Ladies and Gentlemen,

12:00 - 16:00 Scandinavian Houses in Balboa Park are open to the public.

14:00 - 15:30 House of Sweden's Lawn program between the cottages. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs, and coolers with drinks. This entertainment is open to everybody. No need to purchase tickets. However, if you are not staying for the private midsummer festival, you can purchase meatball plates at the House of Sweden for a few dollars.

16:15 - 21:00 Our Private Midsummer Party Begins.
You must have a ticket to attend this party.
Balboa Park closes to the public at 16:00, and our entertainment begins. We will be serving hot and cold food, and desserts. We'll have a Kubb tournament, music, raffles and great camaraderie.
Don't forget to bring blankets & lawn chairs for sitting on the grass, and perhaps a sweater for the evening.

Purchase your tickets BEFORE June 15th, to avoid Late fees. See our Ticket Page for more information.

On June 26th we are expecting a flurry of activities as ALL the Scandinavian cottages in historic Balboa Park will participate in this celebration, including the houses of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, and all San Diego's Scandinavian organizations.

In 2004, we hosted Southern California 's largest midsummer event. San Diego 's Balboa Park was the host to all Swedish organizations in the San Diego region. Last year's midsummer event started at 8 A.M. and didn't end till the last people left at 10 P.M. It was quite a success, with over 300 attendees and this year, we are doubling its size!

In 2005 we are also celebrating a very special centennial. May 17 th 100 years ago, Norway celebrated their first independence day from Sweden . All year long we are celebrating with Swedish & Norwegian events, like a Norwegian folk art museum exhibit, gala dinner, film festival and more. Combining the centennial with our Midsummer festival program allows us to expose the program to hundreds more all year long.

You should advertise in our program!
We offer many ways to get your word out to the Scandinavian Community including, Sponsorships, Advertising, Directory Listings, Classifieds, Envelope Stuffers and Raffle Prize giveaways. Let's take a look at Sponsorships... -->
